another stupid problem! - xino - 2007-03-07 Yes I finally softmodded my Xbox 2 days ago. Then I had a big problem with the FTP! I asked around, chatrooms, even experts in chat room tried so hard to get me connected. The problem was, i have BT Home HuB, but it only as one ethernet port, so my dad connected another routher using that ethernet port. The second router was a Linksys. Everytime I set my xbox to DHCP, it always displace some dumb number! Yesterday I decided to test, but connecting my xbox to the HuB router, and it worked! It actually showed the next number following my IP! I have been banging out the FTP, and managed to get myself XBMC. Now I am trying this stupid Xlink..it keeps on saying "the service is not connected" And the RSS feed is scrolling at the bottom. Plus I have tried both routers. Also I am running Xlink program on my task bar from my PC. Can someone help...cuz I am getting tired of all this damn connections! - hicaow - 2007-03-07 theirs a guide in the download section at http://www.teamxlink.co.uk on how to setup XBMC with kai .. you should really make sure you can play online using just the PC UI before connecting with XBMC .. load a game , go to system link , load kai on your PC , click the globe , pick an arena and play .. - xino - 2007-03-07 wats da point! i try playing it through pc, when I connect to the Xbox secton, the damn thing shuts off:/ do i have to actually install the xkai on my xbmc? because i installed the xbmc...the sh*t was already there>:@ - hicaow - 2007-03-07 the point is exactlly that .. the PC UI is much easier to troubleshoot .. it closes because you need to forward a port .. http://www.portforward.com .. or your behind some other kind of firewall .. - xino - 2007-03-07 :/ |
