Missing albums - matjazc - 2015-12-13
I noticed that many albums are missing from the "Music" library in the Kore App. Refreshing the library (swipe from the top) doesn't help. Actually some artists have now zero albums (when I tap on the artist name there are no albums there). Kore can "see" the actual files via "Files". This worked well before. It might be related to the version I'm using on the desktop: Jarvis Beta 2 and now also Jarvis Beta 3. I am using the last version of the App.

Same issue here since the update to official Jarvis. Tried on Rasperry Pi and PC.

Don't know if it's related: when I use the Browser-Remote it switches to "lost Connection to server" sometimes for few seconds. But after time the "Browser-Library" is complete.

I encountered the issue when adding new albums to Kodi - the new entries are missing from Kore and swipe to refresh doesn't add them.
Kore version 2.0.0
Kodi version: jarvis, kodi 16, running on a Qnap nas.

Same since update to official jarvis on windows 10.
Can play them if I browse to them via the files option, but the songs are not showing up in album/artist view in the Kore app.

Same problem here. I have a reasonably sized music library. On the first install of Kore everything was there, as I have added some new albums, the artist appears in the list in the remote but no albums or songs. I have tried a refresh (pull down from the top of the screen). I have scanned the library in Kodi, I have cleaned the library in Kodi, I have uninstalled the app from ym phone and tablet, I have cleared the cache for the app on both my phone and tablet... And still NEW songs will load.
Using Samsing S6, and Raspberry PI 2+, with all my media on an external hdd plugged into a USB port on the PI. the version of Kodi is 16.0.

Just adding a 'me too' confirmation. I also have a reasonably large music library.
New artists show up but show no albums under those artists,
Kore version 2.0.0
Kodi version: 16 (running under Ubuntu on a Mac Mini).

Just to add, I have also rebuilt my library on the Pi and it has loaded some of the new songs but I now have some other albums missing. Must be timing out or something when its refreshing.

I haven't bee able to replicate this, but maybe i'm looking with the wrong conditions.
Does this only happens when you add new Artists/Albums to Kodi? Do those Artists/Albums appear correctely on Kodi and not on Kore?

My library is about 400 artists with most the albums for these artists..
It happens when new artists are added AND when I rebuild the library. It will find the artist and the coverest art but no albums. Some times it will find a particular artist and the albums and then when I rebuild the library those albums will be missing.
I have downloaded Yatse and within a matter of minutes all artists and all albums have been found.

I'd guess (FWIW) that it's more Albums related than Artists - I'm only seeing this with new music added.
Kodi sees any new Artists / Albums correctly and displays all albums and related tracks. Chorus2 sees them fine as well (so hopefully that's an indication JSON-RPC is working as expected).
Kore finds any new artist, but no albums for them, nor does it see new albums added for an existing artist; sync when triggered manually with a swipe down is reported as successful in the toast (either at the Artist level or the Music level) - but the new Albums don't appear.

Exactly as described by the others.
This issue has been around for a while but doesn't seem to have picked up traction with the Kore devs.
There is an entry on their Github issue tracker, maybe we can provide the debug info they are asking for?

Seems to be working fine now. The spinner that tell you its doing something is staying on the screen all the time where previously it would disappear after about a minute.
