Jarvis RC1 and DVBlink timer date issue - heula - 2016-01-25

No idea if this is an Jarvis or dvblink addon issue.

I have installed Jarvis as a fresh install and after configuring the dvblink addon and I go to my timers I see that the date for future recordings are all in the year 1970!

Can this be fixed?

It seems this is only with serie recordings. One time recordings are displayed fine.

As this works fine with other add-ons (for example tvheadend) I think this is a problem with the dvblink add-on.

Works also fine with dvblink in Kodi 15.2 Isengard but in Jarvis we are "back to the future" Big Grin

Sure. Timer implementation in Jarvis is very different from Isengard. Many things have changed in that area in Kodi and the add-ons - thus it is quite normal that some new bugs arise. ;-)

My point is that I think that the bug mentioned here is not in Kodi core but in the add-on.

The thing is that this top level information about the series recording does not have any meaning - the original program, which has been used to set series recording may not exist anymore for a long time together with its data.
This is the reason why we do not set anything there, which Kodi interprets as a recording from 1970 Wink
I think that "Time" entry has to be empty for the EPG series recordings. Or maybe some generic text will do.

Maybe I get this wrong but the serie recordings and one time recordings are made with the dvbllink client 5.50 software and that software does still excist.

For me it is just important to see what the future recordings are and what is "now recording".
So if this can somehow be visable again I will be happy with that.

I also see that sometimes the dvblink client addon in Kodi is disabled when I (re)start Kodi and not by my hand I can say. Must test more to know when that happens exactly.

For now I just hold on to Kodi 15.2 Isengard until this is "fixed"

@heula
These are top level folders - for each series recording. If you go inside each folder you will see all scheduled timers, which belong to that particular series recording.
The issue is only about representation of the series recording itself.
"Original program" is not about DVBLink Smile It is about the original EPG programs, which was used to schedule series recording.

What folders? Where can I find these in Kodi?

It is about the original EPG programs, which was used to schedule series recording.

With this software from dvblogic I schedule all my recordings.

I just don't understand what you are saying? I only hope can I see the same things in Jarvis somehow as I can see now in Isengard again. Like this.

In your original image, which you have added in the first post of the topic, each series recording is a folder - e.g. Ziggo Sport Goals, Wie is de Mol? etc. They also have a folder sign on the left.
You can navigate on each of them, press Ok and go inside the folder - where you will see all timers of each series recording.

When I click on the folder (timer) I see nothing. Those are all empty.

Are there any timers generated for this series in DVBLink web interface?

Can it be skinning issue? Can you please try with the original skin?

Because it works here with confluence perfectly ok.

I begin to understand now what you mean.
I have selected a serie with some future recordings this week and in that folder were all the recordings I was looking for.

To have back just an overview of the "future" recordings and not all my (empty) timers list I just have to do a request at the titan skin maker to put a new field with only that in it.

Make the "1970" date dissapear then so the only the timer names are visable.

Thanks.

I have brought this up some time ago on the dvblogic forum.
http://forum.dvblogic.com/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=30612&start

Unfotunately, i still get swept into the past with serie recordings ;-))

I would love to have a series recording show
- ideally: next scheduled recording or first scheduled date
- nothing (timestamp removed) :-)

Any update on this.? The issue still excist.
