In following days a will give you the list with cheapest parts for ambilight. I have got those few days ago and it costs around 25-30€ for 5m with everything.

Its easier and safer to use 90 degree solderless connectors, they are cheap and works fine for me.

True. The only problem is that the stock one are four pin and are big. If you can solder the L shaped one a little moded are the best,
But some people are afraid of soldering.
