Live TV option disappeared? - abzstrak - 2016-02-27
So I've been using Myth for about 8 years and Kodi as a frontend for about a year... never much trouble. Anyway, I was screwing around with the backend and have broken something, I just don't know what...
I was playing around trying to setup Webgrab++ instead of schedules direct, as such I needed to do some experimenting and multiple times I removed and re-added my three tuners and resetup things. I removed and edited the channels available multiple times too. Overall This should not be an issue... I finally got everything set the way I wanted, checked mythweb and figured I was done.
When I opened Kodi on my firetv, the LiveTV option is gone. I still get warnings and dialog info, but no menu option. It does the same on my laptop running Linux and my other 2 fire tv's. I wiped out kodi, resetup everything multiple times and no matter what I try the live tv option never appears. I'm at a loss as to where to look for whats going on, I don't get any errors, the tv option just never appears on the menu.
I tested with mythfrontend and everything works like normal.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

From the debug log it looks like bad characters in the mythtv-backend for one or more channels are causing the problem with Live TV not showing in Kodi. Please check name and callsign fields in the mythtv-backend - using mythweb is probably easiest.
Also can you ensure in pvr.mythtv addon in Kodi that "Include more debug information in the log file" of Advanced tab is selected.

One of the channels had some weird ass ascii character in its name, I removed it and Kodi is happy now. I completely missed that when I looked through the logs. Literally a 10 second fix.

i have also failed to see Live TV or TV on my Kodi 14.2 PVR's are enabled & configured.

The guy whos post you posted on uploaded a debug_log (wiki) to get his answer resolved. Please upload a debug_log (wiki) so others can troubleshoot the error for you
