Remote causes Kodi to crash - derdon89 - 2016-02-28
I briefly found something on another thread:
Every time i want to use Kodi Remote and want to play
a file it causes the Kodi application to crash.
Kodi 16 on Mac OSX.
Is this a known issue?
It does not happen with Sybu and Kyra

Hi Derdon,
Well, it's not just you!
However, I started getting the crashes a few days ago while running Isengard. (OSX 10.8)
Consequently, I updated to Jarvis (v.16) and still have the same problem..
Then, I notice that the remote app had an update on Feb 26th, which does make one wonder if the problem lies there, rather than with Kodi?

I've had this since V16 on both my Mac mini and MacBook Pro and cannot capture it in a Kodi log. I have posted the OS X crash report however.

Last night I did some testing with Kodi V16.1 rc1. When I use the iOS app to play something, Kodi instantly crashes and generates a crash report on my Mac mini. The last line in the Kodi logs reads: 23:29:44 T:123145306136576 DEBUG: webserver: request received for /jsonrpc.
That's it.
The relevant thread is here.
The thread starter was also running the official iOS Kodi app.
