Feature Request - Adding extra audio info - snapieee - 2016-04-14
First of all, I would like to thank you for your hard working with this skin. In my local library "TV Shows" or "Movies", just viewing the items "any view type list or thumbnail or wall...etc" in the list before playing anything, it only shows Name, then Year, and movie genre whether it is comedy, crime, action...etc. Even while playing the movie/tv show, if i pause and select the media info button it shows other info, such as the prod company, 1080, audio codec "aac, ac3.", blueray, 21:9".
Is there a way to show/display whether in the list view, any type of view and in the media info during playback additional info like number of audio channels "2, 5.1..... etc", and whether it is Dolby Digital or DTS ...etc?
I am running Kodi 16 on AFTV with mimic v3.4.1.

There's a skin setting in General > Show media flags that will give you just the info you're looking for. It's only available for Wall, Shift, LowList, LowPanel, and Poster views though.

Is there any plan to add those media flags in all view types? Can you add one extra info which is "Number of audio channels 2, 5.1" since there are some media that are encoded using AAC but they are 5.1 channel which can be played as surround audio using audio receiver or soundbar if "dolby digital (ac3) transcoding" is enabled under settings>system>audio output? It a bit convenient if you wanna see this flag , while browsing the library or even before playing, for example if you decided to view something in 5.1 but not sure whether it was encoded in using AAC or AC3.

No plans to make add media flags to all views or make audio channels visible everywhere. I don't want the media flags to be any wider and get in the way of long titles. I believe LowList does show audio channels. Or just press i to see all of the detailed info.
