'Channel unavailable' but not all the time! - kitehigh - 2016-05-27
Hello,
I frequently get the channel unavailable screen we selecting a channel to play back live TV in kodi
I have attached logs from kodi (pi3 running libreelec) and the mythbackend, can anyone help to identify why this would happen?
In particular if I have not been watching for a while I'll get it. I have to stop and then select it again and generally it then works. But also just generally watching live tv it keeps happening.. WAF not good!
Logs - look around 0709 on the 27th:

Well I think I have got it sorted in the end. . Just posting this incase it helps someone else ..
There were a few settings to change which all seem to be related to allowing time for the tuners to get a signal:
In myth backend for each tuner I increased the signal timeout to 10000ms
In kodi settings > TV > playback changed time out when starting playback to 10s
In kodi myth add on increased tuning delay to 10sec
Finally added minvideocachelevel to a settings at 40 to ensure no buffering issues when it did get a signal
