I'm using Kodi 17 and noticed that it can now handle multiple video tracks inside a single .mkv file.
I was wondering if it's possible to have it automatically switch to a specific audio track when a specific video track was selected.

You can certainly which between audio tracks while the video is playing - I did it yesterday, you can also adjust the audio sync within the same option panel.
Are you combining multiple video episodes into 1 file? Perhaps it would come down to naming the video/audio tracks in a similar fashion.

Yes, I can select everything I want manually, but naming each video and audio track the same didn't seem to work.
Yes, I'm combining two different edits of a single episode - so each one has its own audio track. It would be great to choose the video track I want and have it automatically switch to its appropriate audio stream.
