Music fanart? - hr21 - 2016-08-06 Hello all, I have added some music to my library and it just won't show up fanart. I've read a few threads here and tried bits out, it finds some artists then, no album covers at all. I basically added source where the music was, then I updated library but it just doesn't find anything. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks RE: Music fanart? - DaveBlake - 2016-08-07 Have a read of this http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=283528 and this http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=283015 RE: Music fanart? - 2nzy - 2016-09-01 I would like to know how to get a good looking music collection on kodi it works fine with films so why not music? theres no reason it couldnt how do you get the fanart for your collection so that it displays in that album when youre browsing there doesnt seem to be any tutorials regarding music RE: Music fanart? - scott967 - 2016-09-02 Kodi is about 90% dependent on tags in your music files for proper display. So first you need to tag or check your tags in a tagging software. Music "fanart" is determined based on the "album artist" that Kodi gets from your tags. Auto-finding of local fanart is based on having music song files arranged in a folder structure of Album Artist/Album/songs. The fanart image needs to be in that Album Artist folder. Note that when an album artist is first scanned from a song, it is added to the library then is available (as well as fanart) for any other song with the same artist. You can manually browse and set the fanart for any artist in the library (if scraper finds on-line fanart you can select which one is used as the fanart). There are add-ons to help find fanart (cdArt Manager NG). Also some skins allow for extra-fanart, but it's skin specific and might need to use the Artwork Organizer add-on. Also the Artist Slideshow and Artist Slideshow Helper add-ons can be configured to download fanart, and this can be used to create your own local fanart. scott s. . |
