Delayed connection to support AWOL - CKirk - 2016-10-31
I am running Kodi on a Raspberry and on a Windows Laptop. Recording service is running on a desktop.
The desktop is woken up with the Advanced Wake On LAN Addon, when Kodi is started. In parallel DVBViewer Addon starts, but fails to connect., because the desktop needs approx. 15 seconds to get up and running.
When the desktop as a server is woken up, before Kodi is started, with both clients everything is working fine.
Is it possible to delay the connection to the Recording service server until it can be reached, or with a delay or timeout ?

All PVRs try to reconnect until a connection succeeds (actually they get destroyed and recreated in a loop). There's no need for any artificial delays.

It is working now with stable version at least on the Raspberry.
On Windows I have used 17.0 Beta3 ...
