Progress Bar and Clock Do Not AutoHide on Video Playback - nictomee - 2016-12-14

Hi,

I am using Kodi 17, and for every video that I play, the top and bottom borders with the time and progress bar will not disappear. I cannot find anywhere in any of the settings on how to toggle this off. It is very annoying and is in the way of all videos. I have already tried "\" and alt+enter. My videos are all in full screen, it is just that the progress bar on bottom and the time on top will not ever disappear. Please help.

Thanks

I have heard this a few times. Try latest nightly ..

Escape, backspace, or right click.

I upgraded my v17 to the latest git last night (18.0-ALPHA1 Git:20161213-ed761) and am seeing this behavior too in linux.

They behave separately from the other bottom bar that does hide after time/esc/.... The "other" bottom bar, that DOES hide, contains the buttons for stop, record, information, channels, guide, and settings.

EDIT: I should specify that I stuck with the default estuary skin. When I switched back to Confluence, the OSD behaved correctly.

OMG @vindicator, YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER! I have scoured through the internet and could not find a solution, and it was so frustrating. Switching the skin to Confluence solved the issue right away. THANKS!

Oh, you mean the status bar/window/thing that shows up for pausing and FF/RW. Yeah, it's weird in Estuary..

RE: Progress Bar and Clock Do Not AutoHide on Video Playback - vindicator - 2016-12-15

No Ned. The bottom OSD seems to be made up of 2 separate elements/bars.
One of the bottom elements is like the top element (which houses the clock), housing the progress bar. Both of these top and bottom elements do NOT hide.
The OTHER bottom bar that houses the stuff like stop/record/..., does NOT contain the progress bar, but DOES hide. That is what makes it most curious. I feel all of these elements should be tied together in their "displaying" behavior (onmousemove/onkeypress=show, timelapsed/esc/onmouseclick=hide).

At least this is my case, and I'm only assuming it is the same for nictomee based on what they said. I was brought to this post from a search on this issue.

Same problem different thread. Hopefully, this is fixed soon because this makes Kodi beta nightlies unusable.

I am having this problem too. Is the only solution to ditch Estuary?

It was working fine with Krypton, but started this with Leia...

This works fine for me, did you try Escape, backspace, or right click? Perhaps a debug log might show the issue better.

It's exactly as described earlier in this thread.

By the way, I followed this, and now the clock is at least gone. The progress bar is still there though...

Scratch that. I went out of a movie and back in and the clock is back...really frustrating...

Also, as the person described earlier in the thread, all escape does is remove the rewind/pause/stop buttons.

Can you post a screenshot of the problem.

If the image is on your computer, then use button 19.
If the image has already been uploaded to a public image hosting site, right click the image and select Copy image location then use button 14 and paste the link

Are you using a mouse? or airmouse? if so this will likely be the cause of your issues.
