Aeon MQ and library export - KitFox - 2017-02-14
Hello everyone,
Aeon MQ uses animated GIF files for posters and such. I want to export my video library (in separate files). Does anyone have an experience with that? Does Kodi also export the GIF files? Can it also import back the GIF files?
Any assistance will be very appreciated.

Well I can answer it myself.
Short answer: No, Kodi 17.0 Krypton does not import\export gif art.
In order to achieve this (for easier future installations), I have to edit the nfo files and change the first url line to a local path of the gif files - both for fanart and poster. I also need to delete the obsolete jpg file.
Not good for an average user, but gif support is still developing, so it's good enough for now.
I know that Aeon MQ does this automatically, but I have more gif art.
I consider this matter closed.
