Can't launch PC Engine core and games on a RPi2 - Cesco974 - 2017-03-15
Hello,
I'm using the latest nightly of Kodi 18 built by Milhouse (March 15th) on my Raspberry Pi 2 and I tried to launch a PC Engine game. To do so I downloaded the "Mednafen SGX" core; I placed some PC Engine games in a folder inside the SD-Card under "~/emulators/PC\ Engine".
Unfortunately when I launch a game I'm getting a black screen. This is part of the logfile:

I'm getting the same error about missing "buttonmap.xml" with "BlueMSX" and "fMSX" cores as well.
Additionally, BlueMSX reports this error in a popup window:

This morning I've updated my raspberry Pi to version #315 and I discovered something interesting.
1) After installing and rebooting, I tried to launch a PC Engine game and it worked. I could see the game running and playing it.
2) Then I've tried to launch a MSX game, first with fMSX and then with BlueMSX; but in either cases I had no luck: I got a black screen with fMSX and an internal error with BlueMSX.
3) Then I tried to launch a PC Engine game again, and this time it didn't work anymore... I got a black screen; I tried with the same game that worked on point No. 1 and, again, I got a black screen.
4) I rebooted Kodi
5) I tried to launch the same PC Engine game from point No. 1 and this time, after a reboot, it worked again
6) Then I tried again to launch a MSX game with fMSX and BlueMSX: black screen and internal error
7) Then I tried again with the same PC Engine game and I got a black screen.
I'm no expert but it seems that when I try to launch fMSX and / or BlueMSX with a game, something is breaking...
