editing the skin on my mac - mrgreeneyes - 2017-05-11 Hello, is there a way that i can edit the skin in KODI on my mac, then copy and past the files onto koi on my raspberry pi? i find it a little difficult editing the menus and shorts cuts with a remote. please and thanks RE: editing the skin on my mac - SerpentDrago69 - 2017-05-11 absolutely Most of us i'd say Dev on PC / MAC and just transfer our "builds" over to whatever device we want running kodi You can transfer the whole damn kodi profile over full setup if you wanted . IMHO , This is the main reason why Kodi is GREAT , you can setup one device and just transfer over the full setup ! Find the Kodi profile folder on PC its C:\Users\NAMEOFUSER\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\ the menu only is located > addon_data\script.skinshortcuts and Skin settings are located > addon_data\skin.arctic.zephyr Hell you can even edit the xml files directly ! just make sure you use a proper text editor like notepad++ on pc , I dont' know what to use on mac RE: editing the skin on my mac - jurialmunkey - 2017-05-11 Alternatively you can use the "Skin Helper Service Skin Backup" program add-on. Install it on both your computer and the rpi kodi repo addons > program-addons > Skin Helper Service Skin Backup Then on your computer go to Programs and open the addon. Click "Settings" to see where the backup path is. Press "Create new backup" and once it is done a dialog will pop-up to tell you, so hit ok. Locate the backup location on your computer and copy the files to the appropriate backup path on the rpi. On the rpi, start kodi and run the Skin Helper Backup addon. You should now have an option to restore the settings for the skin there.
