Is KD-Player a version of Kodi 17? - dof1978 - 2017-08-29
Hi
I have Kodi 16 at moment and I probably need to update (I receive less HD options these days)
I was told that the latest version of Kodi is called Kd-player. I took a look at this app and it looks very different to Kodi 16!

Whoever told you that is utterly wrong.
KD Player is nothing to do with us, nor is it supported here. Kodi 17 (Krypton) is available here and via the various app stores, and Kodi 18 (Leia) is under development at the moment.

Without going into detail, someone offered to provide me with an android box containing "up to date" versions of all apps. The fact that Kodi would change their name, look, general format etc. when updating made no sense to me!

Sounds fishy. Personally i wouldnt touch that 'KD' thing and go with Krypton.
