D: hardcoded to DVD ? - Nickman - 2008-04-06

I guess this is a "feature" from the XBox ?
But i think D: is treated as DVD (non writeble) even if its not a CDROM/DVD.

I cant choose D: (its not in the file list) when im gonna set "Recording Folder" or "CDDA Rip Folder" etc.

Is this something that is possible to go around ? Set write status to D: in say advancedsettings.xml maybe ?

not for me all my drives have the same drive letters xbmc as they do in xp my D drive is data F,J,K are dvd drives one of those is daemontools drive are you using the latest build? if you are you may need to delete your user data folder and xbmc folder and do a fresh install.

I make my own builds... but i have tried the ones wiso has made also.
Have already made a clean install... strange.

I´ll guess its something else then... will dig some more when i get the time.
(I only use XBMC for win to play around and see how far the DSL port has come)

XBMC for my xbox is still THE player in my house Big Grin

I'm also just playing around with this port playing some mp3's and such on the pc that acts as server for my xbox, and encodes stuff, downloads, office work, browsing the net and other dogsbody work all at the same time. its been on for about five years and is feeling the strain. I need to get some new hardware set up for a media centre me thinks
