Video Thumbnail Preview Extraction not working - Mount81 - 2018-02-24 Hello! This issue is presumably related to the Xfluence skin, but as it's based mainly on the Confluence, and as in the Xfluence Thread no one could come up with an idea, I'm attempting to post it here, with the hope of a better general recognition and for the greater chance of a possible fix. Sorry, it's not ment to be a double post and please don't delete it from here. The issue: (I'm using KODI 17.6 with the latest Xfluence Skin). All the following is in Videos->File view.: If I have a new video copied to the HDD, when I enter the Video folder that contains the video(s) it doesn't display the little Thumbnail that used to be extracted from the video itself. On the regular Confluence skin all this is "scanned automatically", just after few second I have entered the Video subfolders. It extracted the thumbnails for new videos and displayed them in the down-right corner as I've navigated on them (and also extracted the codec information to indicate if it’s HD or SD right beside the video filename). But it doesn't do this with Xfluence at all. It just displays the previously extracted thumbnails, but none for the new videos, no matter where I navigate or how long I wait after entering the video folder. Here's a Snapshot from the issue. -> So when I enter a Video folder of a newly downloaded video, there's no extracted preview thumbnail, just the default film rail thumb on the down-right corner. The option in Settings->Media->Videos->“Extract Thumbnail from Videos” is and was always checked in my case. It looks like if it has some problem with opening the video (some codec issue?) and extracting/or generating/converting the thumbnail. As my Video and Series subfolders contents are changing day-by-day, this is very inconvenient. Could you please have a look, and possibly find a fix and solution for this issue to regain back its normal operation? It definitely doesn't work as it works on the default Confluence Skin. Here's an extract from the debug log file, and I've highlighted the most suspicious parts (tho' juts guessing): Quote:09:31:01.426 T:18446744071798458656 DEBUG: CDirectoryProvider: refreshing.. Thank you! RE: Video Thumbnail Preview Extraction not working - Mount81 - 2018-03-02 No clue at all what may be the problem? To add to the description: Meanwhile I have switched back to the "normal" Confluence skin, used it for a while and than switched back to Xfluence. What I've recognized is that after I have changed to Xfluence and didn't Exit KODI, the thumbnail extraction still worked fine as it works on Confluence. Right after I have Exit and restarted KODI the extraction just stopped to work again. Is this problem (as seen in my log) that uneasy to unravel and solve, or can I still have hope fro a possible solution or fix? Thank you! |
