Add-on Request set proxy on start-remove proxy on stop - fredfred - 2018-02-24 I do some travel for work, with me is always Kodi. One thing that "bugs me" is geo restrictions. An example, when I'm in the UK I have to use a proxy to access much of the content trough SVT Play but I can access BBC stuff with out it just from the Hotel, the opposite is true from Sweden. As I move trough different countries I find myself "proxy hopping" a whole lot and some of the times just looking at the settings since I cant remember at what "location" I'm in. So what I'm suggesting is this. An-addon that can do the following, let's call it Proxy Add-on launcher. In Proxy Add-on launcher I configure it with two other add-ons. I configure proxy settings to use and select Add-on SVT Play. I configure proxy settings to use and select Add-on BBC iPlayer. I configure proxy settings to use and select Add-on NHL.tv I start add-on Proxy Add-on launcher, this displays my three add-ons I configured. Let's say I start SVT Play, It saves whatever proxy setting is configured right now (or none at all), it then set proxy settings I configured for SVT Play add-on and then starts SVT Play. When I exit add-on SVT Play it reverts the proxy settings that where saved before starting the selecting add-on. There may be other add-ons that already does this kind of, if there are please let me know what alternatives exists. I also read up on the piracy policy and this does not seem to be included in that section. To be clear, this is for geo restriction bypass and not for piracy. RE: Add-on Request set proxy on start-remove proxy on stop - DarrenHill - 2018-02-24 The bypassing of geo-locking restrictions is not something we allow discussion of here, regardless of individuals personal feelings on the subject. |
