noticed Kodi18 for linux was working on Wayland support, but now Ubuntu drops it.. - oldgranola - 2018-03-01

On the history section for kodi V18 Linux section, there was a paragraph about starting Wayland graphics support. But Ubuntu dev is dropping Wayland. So therefore Mint etc will not go there either. Does that change whats going on for your devs on the Linux front?

Sounds like they're only dumping it for the LTS release.

Yes and LTS's are the only ubuntu worth using for a Kodi box. Anything else is too short lived for something that is supposed to work every day for years on end.

they are not dropping wayland, it just won't be the default. Nothing changes for kodi.
