Minimum information .nfo file to show up in Movies and TV Show menus - technostreamer - 2018-09-13

I've got some movie and tv show content that doesn't find any matching hits via the scrapers, but this is to be expected as some of them are really obscure. I've created some .nfo files and created some artwork. What I wanted to know is what is the minimum amount of information in the .nfo files needed for both movies and TV shows so that it shows up in the respective top level menu? Some of my content is still not showing up.

Also, is there an easy way to see what items in my video source are not showing up under the top level movies/tv show menu? Sometimes it is missing a whole movie or tv show but sometimes it's missing a specific episode.

Thanks in advance

Yes. Run an Update Library then check this... https://kodi.wiki/view/Event_Log

See... https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files

Basically, as little or as much as you want in addition to the "Required" XML tags as indicated on the wiki pages. It can be as little as just the title. A Media Manager might make it easier to create them quickly and easily.
