Missing feature: Clicking on a content preview for zooming in the whole actual screen - Georg Stachnik - 2019-01-02

Hey Guys,

I am new here and I hope my post is well-seated here.

Since some years, I am trying to implement a skin (that I would like to publish, if finished),
based on an theater stage picture with moving curtains and so on.
Beyond of mine, it is targeting on people with a projector-based screen or a really big TV, where content is still readible with a theater-frame around.
It is yet still private, because I am missing a BIG feature (and because I am missing copyrights of the original theater picture right now):

Clicking on a containerized content preview (picture, thumbnail or video preview) and then zooming it up to fullscreen mode (that seems to be a hardcoded window-feature with no transitions) including the surroundings of that containerized content at my desired speed (I'm slow and old-fashioned) would be a great feature, may be not only for me. It should work vice-versa.

Just for better imagination: You take seat in an theater and see a wonderful room with wonderful stage curtains. But different from a real theater, you may choose the show to be performed once the curtain is lifted. At this point you will also see the stage environment. Starting the content you like to see, the theater lights dim down, and like in an real theater you are concentrating on the stage and nothing else. This 'concentrating on stage' I would like to realize with a zoom effect, thus using the whole screen for the content (fullscreen mode).

Changing from containorized TV-Preview to fullscreen works perfectly, but with no visual transition.

And for video and picture thumbnails I am missing transmissing-specific commands to fullscreen mode too.

Thanks for the great code,

Sincerely, Georg Stachnik
