Moonlight / Gamestream Support - NeroBoron - 2019-02-17

Hey,
What happened to moonlight / Gamestream support?

I had moonlight running in Kodi 17. It was this, but it seems like it is not available anymore :/

Also know that there was another ongoing Projekt a few years ago, but there is no activity as well.

Same for the fork

So it there a way to get it running currently? Or anything planned in near future?

Integration gamestream into retroplayer would indeed be magic!!!

This was actually a Google Summer of Code project a long time ago that I mentored. While a proof of concept was created, it used private VideoPlayer APIs. When I rewrote RetroPlayer for the GSoC last summer, VP APIs were dropped to self-contain RetroPlayer. The new architecture was heavily inspired by VP, so re-adding H264 streaming won't require much architectural changes. However, unless someone finds the time to implement this, it'll be a while before we see this feature in Kodi.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, no coding skills on my end, so it won't be me. Would this be a project for GSOC this year? Maybe you could sponsor / propose it to students?

Just imagine if Retroplayer would support emulator addons and gamestream. With this combo, Kodi would literally cover all video and gaming needs. How cool is this!
