Is it possible to auto hide video control OSD? - Defik - 2019-09-16

If I pause or resume play, the OSD of the video controls stay on the screen until I hit back. Isn't there a way to autohide them say after few sec?

That's normally not the case. But it will depend on how you pause your video:

Let's assume you have a keyboard attached to whatever device you are using with Kodi and you are using the Estuary skin. After you start a video, you wish pause that and you hit the "space" key for that. Then the video will pause and no video OSD controls are visible at all. But you will see a progress bar. Hitting the "space" key again and the video will resume and after some time the progress bar will disappear. "Space" on a keyboard is a "play/pause" toggle while Kodi is in fullscreenvideo-mode.

But...

If you open the videoOSD to pause that video, then you are opening a new dialog/window. That will not auto-close itself after you resumed the video.

So in the end, it all depends on how you pause that video and/or how you control Kodi.
