Kodi 5.1 sounds beep - mikesign - 2019-10-24
On every Kodi installation (Windows, Android) and everuthing upgraded to the newest version I have an irritating beeping sound when playing DVD's with 5.1. Original Video_ts and ripped folders.
VLC plays the audio fine. As suggested in different threads, this is a chapter thing, which it isn't.
During a movie intro you keep hearing it. Almost like a heartbeat. I would say it's a decoding thing. Have tried different settings, but am lost/stuck.
I really like the Kodi interface mainly because of the easy of use for the kids. But I think I have otherwise to educated them for using VLC.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.
If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)
In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.
