Sound stopped working for .mp3 and movie files - exboxer - 2008-07-24

Still works fine if I play an image DVD, but movie clips and .mp3s are silent. Everything used to be just fine.

Thanks for any ideas.

debug log? maybe you are missing some decoder dll's.

OK, after digging around, I still can't find the debug log. I'm using FileZilla, and putting in /cd var/tmp on the "Remote Site" line gives me back "Failed to retrieve directory listing."

Where is the (&*(^* debug log?

Thanks

c:\program files\XBMC are you using a windows build? I think that its in the root xbmc folder on all platforms. you need to enable debug logging in XBMC's system settings first. Then look for the XBMC.log then upload to bastebin.com and link to it here.

I don't have a \program files folder on my C: on the xbox. Did you mean on my windows box? I don't have anything installed on the computer itself. My system settings on the xbox also do not have any place to enable logging. I don't mean it is grayed out - just not there.

I think you should posted in the Xbox support forum. In any event your log would be E:\apps\XBMC on xbox. If you don't see debug logging in XBMC settings @ setting\system\hardware your build must be very old or very mangled. Try upgrading the the latest TC3H build a fresh install would probably be best

Actually, I will post it in the XBOX support forum. Thanks. Please close this thread.
