GSoC 2020 - Achievements in RetroPlayer - NikosSiak - 2020-02-22

Hi, I am interested in the achievements project idea and I want to see if I am capable of achieving it, so I would like someone that works on the retroplayer to direct me to an issue/small challenge to accomplish this days. I couldn't find any issue in the xbmc project related to the retroplayer and that's why I ask here

Hey there, I think your question has already be solved via irc, correct?

Not quiet, but I decided to change project idea and go for the save states manager

Hi @NikosSiak, best first challenge is to compile Kodi. It's not hard, just a big task, which means, as past students will tell you, there's lots of places it will break Smile Working through these problems to get a working executable is a good lesson in problem solving, even if you need external help (which is what we're here for).

The next level of task is to open a PR against Kodi or another project that fixes or improves something. Even if the PR sucks and is instantly rejected (it's important to learn that it's OK to answer a question, even if you're wrong). But a prior PR isn't required for GSoC consideration.

If you want a task between those two extremes I can come up with some suggestions.

I have already compiled Kodi (with a little help from velocity), now I am trying to find something to fix for the PR if you have something in mind that needs fixing in the RetroPlayer project I would like to know so I can start working on that
