Video Source Determination - Hairy Hippy - 2020-05-05

Apologies for the series of threads on my questions regarding Ember...  Despite using it for years, I am now only getting into the real detail and power of the software.

Hopefully a simple question but how does Ember determine the video source (e.g. Bluray, DVD, etc.)?

I've never used it but I'm guessing it's by filename or extension

To be precise (in that order):
  1. by folder structure (VIDEO_TS or BDMV)
  2. by file name or full path (depends on your settings) based on Video Source Regex Mapping (left list in komplex' screenshot)
  3. by NFO (<videosource> node)
  4. by Video Source File Extension mapping (right list in komplex' screenshot)

Thanks both!

Is there something for 4K Blu-ray? There is nothing in the mapping options and I don't know even if specific icon exists.
