Album thumbs not showing - theccap10 - 2020-05-13
Hi there, not sure if my issue is actually an issue or just my inability to find the right settings .... I have been using TADB add-on successfully for many years to manage my music video collection. In recent times I have noticed that when the scraper finishes scanning for new content, it has added the item to library but the album thumb or album cover art is missing. It works if I go into "information" -> "choose art" and then exit but I have to do that for each new scrape now.
My standard build is a Pi3 with a locally attached disk running libreelec running Leia v18.6
with the following addon versions:
Universal Album Scraper v3.1.3
Universal Artist Scraper v4.3.2
The Movie Database v5.1.11
TheAudioDb.com v1.3.4
To test it's not my build I have setup another couple of Kodi instances (not libreelec) on different platforms (Windows and Linux) with the same add-ons and versions and I'm finding the same behaviour regardless of the platform.
With the new builds the default appears to be images from the clip as opposed to the album thumb (which I have turned off on my prod setup).
Can anyone tell me if some setting defaults have changed in recent releases? I have a feeling I may have missed something here. I'm not 100% sure when this started occurring but it could have been since v18 I think.
I will post logs etc. if this does not sound like a settings issue. many thanks

I realise this is for music but I wonder if it is the same issue?
I use the following versions
metadata.common.allmusic.com v3.2.1
metadata.common.fanart.tv v3.6.3
metadata.common.theaudiodb.com v2.0.3
I wonder if maybe this issue has been reintroduced?

Please provide a Debug Log which captures you scraping a problematic music video.

All tracks are found and added to the library. Thumbnails are not visible. I should note that the "extract thumbnails from video files" option is off.

The other thread you link to is for Music and will be a different issue as Music Videos operates out of the Video Library.
I suggest opening an Issue report here so one of the developers can spot your report... https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues
