Plugin for watched movies/series history? - 4c3T - 2020-05-14

Hi.
Sorry if this has been asked for before, but this forum it quite extensive with many branches.
Feel free to move this to another location if deemed necessary.

I feel that Kodi is indeed a very competent player/library, but every time I install it (Have had some issues with drives and constellation of the structure in the past, and also some problems with Windows & re-installations) all movies/series, besides from various results with scraping, every movie/episode comes up as unseen.
Also, every time I upgrade a movie/episode by exchanging the actual file, Kodi sees this as a new file, therefor unseen.
I know, I could have a backup and all that, but I'd rather see a plugin which automatically saves this info on a separate location.
Is there any such?

While I'm at it, I do have some duplicates of a bunch of movies (And sometimes sample files, or other video files too, comes up). Any add-on that can remedy this?

@4c3T

There are two methods...
1. Use the Export function... https://kodi.wiki/view/Import-export_library/Video
2. Use the WatchedList add-on... https://kodi.tv/addon/program-add-ons-scripts/watchedlist

What do you want to do with the duplicates and samples? Delete them? Find them?

Crap. Forgot to finish that last bit...
What I meant by that, is that I'd like to exclude them from the listings so that only one (Preferably the real one, and if duplicates, still list them as a single one)

As for the export/import. and/or the WatchedList (Can faintly recall it require an account on a server somewhere?) Haven't checked it quite yet, but can they run on a schedule?

No account required. It is all local.

Unfortunately not. There was a Movie Version in the works for your exact case, but over a year later the member never came back to complete the works.

Try using the Extras (wiki) addon.

Ok. Thanks for the help. I've installed these, and hopefully it'll work for me now
