cant load xbmc win get wierd error - puppetj - 2008-08-02 i get a fatal error trying to run it says q:\ drive can not be dvd/cd drive , exiting xbmc_pc wtf does that meam?! yes i have a q: drive it a virtual using a120% and its mount with a image i did try to unmount but didnt fix it...and if your telling me i can use a120% then forget it that retarted - marlboroman1 - 2008-08-02 XBMC needs Q to be mapped to C. This may be looked at at some point as its a remnant of running on xbox. You may be able to remap you virtual drive it worked for Daemon tools navigate to start\control panel\Administrative Tools\computer management\disk\management. in the bottom right hand box scroll down right click on your virtual DVD Rom drive and use "change drive letters and paths" to assign a different drive letter. - marlboroman1 - 2008-08-02 edit I meant start\control panel\Administrative Tools\computer management\disk management. - puppetj - 2008-08-02 i have no more drives left, nm it to much trouble and i tried it on another pc, and i dont like it..was better on xbox but thanks - mace - 2008-08-03 XBMC used Q: on XBox too so there is no change there - dacore84 - 2008-09-14 What do you guys mean it has to be C:? I got the same problem with the Q:\ fatal error. I got a dvd-writer that is mapped as Q:\. But what do you mean it has to be mapped as C:\? My HDD is of course C:\ ... - Freddo - 2008-09-14 Q:\ just needs to be unused by windows since XBMC will want to use it. so if you have a physical drive, network drive, optical drive whatever mapped to Q:\ in windows you need to give it a different letter. its a weird oddity of XBMC's xbox roots. - dacore84 - 2008-09-14 Freddo Wrote:Q:\ just needs to be unused by windows since XBMC will want to use it. so if you have a physical drive, network drive, optical drive whatever mapped to Q:\ in windows you need to give it a different letter. ooooh Stupid me.. thnx mate.. |
