3D Detection not working. - Bladerunner1962 - 2020-11-01
Hello,
I upgraded my homecinema to 4K. I use Kodi under Nvidia Shield.
I have a lot of 3D MKV SBS and HOU files which worked fine all the years.
Now I have the problem that only 30% of the mkv files switch to 3D/are outputed as 3D to my beamer.
All mkv files have in the file name *.3D.SBS.mkv or *.3D.HSBS.mkv.
After google research I checked all files with MKVtoolNixGui, if the MKV-header has in the stereoscopic part e.g. the value "1" for "SBS.
Interesting thing is, that some of the 3D MKV files which works fine on output 3D has there no value; it's blanc.
Then I corrected the movies, which gives no 3D output, in the header with value "1". BUT: again no 3D regocnition via Kodi or output.
I also checked the details via MEDIAINFO of the not working 3D MKV files in comparison with the working 3D MKV files and see there not a difference in the data.
Has anyone an idea, why some 3D MKV files work pretty good on 3D recognition/output and some not?
