Also checked that the 4K.png files exists in

What is making it stranger is that if I follow the path
Main menu-->movies-->files submenu--> and then choose there a source containing movies and start browsing, the flag appears in that view.
I am using kodi 18.9 and Amber 3.2.109  
I checked everything I could think, any advice?

@LED123 , it could be related.  If you are OK to download from GitHub, the fix for the issue in that thread you mention is already uploaded. The link is https://github.com/bartolomesoriano/skin.amber/tree/Leia, and you can download a zip file from that page.  Then you can just replace your skin folder with the contents of the zip.

Unfortunately the latest from GitHub didn’t fix the issue.
I did some more testing with other devices, and I discovered that the problem doesn’t appear
with devices running kodi on windows 10. It only appears in devices running kodi on Linux.
(Obviously using same collection and common MySQL)

@LED123 , thanks for investigating further.  I do not have a lot of testing capability for Kodi on Linux.  It is most likely a letter casing issue.  I will see what I can do.
