New here Need help installing KODI on Smart TV - RichardinKy - 2020-11-16
Hello,
Please be so kind as to explain what I need to do to install KODI 18.9 onto the following Smart TV
Insignia fire TV edition (Amazon purchased Fire TV - Insignia Brand 50 inch TV purchased date: 11-25-19.
I have downloaded KODI 18.9 and have it stored on a USB Thumb Drive (download site: Softonic ) The download is a Windows application version. (Do I have the correct software application? Or do I need another type?)
There is a USB port on the Insignia Fire TV. (I am unsure of what the steps will be once I insert the USB Thumb Drive into the port on the TV)
Please provide the steps to install and setup the KODI programming based on the information I have provided. If more information is needed please advise.
As I said I am a novice to this - so please bear with me. Thank you RichardinKY

It looks like that TV is using Amazon FireTV for its smart stuff. Take a look at this wiki page (especially the section for FireTV).
