Movies remove themselves from movie sets - appropriate - 2020-12-19 Hello Everyone, and best of the season to you all. Raspberry Pi running LibreElec 9.2.6 and whatever Kodi comes with that, but I don't think that matters as I have had this issue before. I create movie sets based on actors, and name them as (actorName) Collection. After creating the sets I go to the library/movies and there they are with the movies in them. I even watch them from within their sets. Today, as has happened before, I added some new films to an actors set. When I went back into the library/movies I noticed that some movies from some other sets were no longer part of their set. I go about creating the movie sets in two ways. First I start with the Categories/actors from the movie menu, search for the actors name and get a list of all the movies that actor appeared in that exist in my library. I then add each of them to my set. The other way is when going through the listings in the library/movies I come across a movie that belongs to, but isn't in a set (musicals, for example, they don't have a common actor) and using the context menu Manage/Manage Movie Set add them to the appropriate set. So for some reason movies are disengaging themselves from movie sets. I am wondering if there is something I can do to stop this? Is there something more you need to know? Here is my log file https://paste.kodi.tv/utebopucun Thanks Appropriate RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - Karellen - 2020-12-19 @appropriate You did not enable debug mode in the log, so a lot of information is missing. There are a lot of SMB errors with messages such as unix_err:'67' error : 'Software caused connection abort' and I wonder if this might be related to the problem? But just a wild stab at this point and it is hard to imagine what would be causing movies to drop out of movie sets. Can you provide me with your MyVideos116 database and I can check for any obvious errors. The SMB errors might be related to this post and subsequent replies... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=343069&pid=2897412#pid2897412 RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - appropriate - 2020-12-20 (2020-12-19, 23:50)Karellen Wrote: @appropriateHi Karellen, Thanks for the quick reply. Not sure about that unix_err:'67' error : 'Software caused connection abort', the media files are stored on a couple of 5TB harddrives (not SSD's) that are attached to a box running Xubuntu 20.04.1 via USB along with SMB which then connects over a local network to the LibreElec box. The Xubuntu is up to date, as of yesterday, and it gets updated every weekday. I had to shut the LibreElec box down to get your database file, and when I restarted it I enabled the debug mode and took another log file read. I hope that didn't dump information that would be of use. exiworexeq (paste) . I don't see a way to attach files here. How would you like me to get the database file to you? I have a copy of it sitting on my desktop now. Use this one if you don't have any preference... https://ufile.io/ You can PM me the link if you want to keep your DB private. I'll have a look at it when I return in a few hours. Also, could you do the Debug Log again and run an Update Library so I can see what the scanner is doing. Thanks. RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - Karellen - 2020-12-21 @appropriate Thanks but I think you made a blooper. Both those download links are for the log file. RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - appropriate - 2020-12-21 Sorry about that, you should have a message with the correct file now. Is there something I should do about the Debug Log? RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - Karellen - 2020-12-21 Thanks. I have looked through the DB and cannot see any problems with the data in there. All looks healthy and as expected. I have looked at the log, but that won't show me the problem unless you capture the issue in the log as it happens. All those previous errors in the log are now gone so I am stuck with finding any problem or solution for you. All I can offer you is that you monitor, and leave your Debug Log running and when it happens again, we might see something in the log. If you add the following to your advancedsettings.xml file it will keep debug mode enabled and hide those on-screen counters... <loglevel>1</loglevel> Now for a completely different topic. I noticed you have Babylon 5 TV show, and you also have a number of Babylon 5 movies in a Collection. Have you considered moving the movies out of the Movies section and into your Babylon 5 TV show? Also this might be of interest to you... https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Movie_universe RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - appropriate - 2020-12-21 OK, I will make that change, and then re-setup my movie sets, yet again. The problem I see with that is that I may not notice the change before a reboot that wipes the log file, and my Kodi Logfile Uploader doesn't offer the option to upload lkodi.old.log, but I guess I can figure a way around that. Anyway, before I got this message, after disturbing dreams last night, I turned on Debug, disabled watchdog, and set update on startup to on, then rebooted. Here is the log file for that, but as you suggest, possibly of no help. tetulehewo (paste) . Should I leave this thread open, or start a new one when the time comes? Thank you for your time and assistance, once again. RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - appropriate - 2020-12-21 While I appreciate the suggestion to create 'Universes' I don't see how that might be of benefit, to me. I have not considered moving the Babylon movies to the TV shows, and might consider it, however, I have had trouble with 'extras' and 'specials' in the past, and even searching the forum and wiki I have not come up with a good way to resolve the issues. Some solutions work (going to www.thetvdb.com and finding the correct filename and season and episode works in some cases. But, for example (I know, not a TV show) I have a number of 'extras' for Dr. Strangelove and even after putting them in their own folder and both naming that folder 'extra' and 'special' at different attempts have had no luck getting them into the library. I will re-catalog my list of Collections a bit later today, and possibly remove, and then re-add some movies to see if I can force a de-catalog situation. Nothing being removed. (2020-12-21, 15:45)appropriate Wrote: Should I leave this thread open, or start a new one when the time comes?Leave it open. RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - appropriate - 2020-12-21 Quote:Do you mean Extras (wiki) or Specials?I actually tried both, both in looking for some answers as well as solutions. My movies are not in separate folders, so I added a folder titled 'Dr. Strangelove Extras' and put the 10 extras in there. No joy. Maybe if I put the movie in there as well? Hmm, I will give that a try.. RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - Karellen - 2020-12-21 (2020-12-21, 21:20)appropriate Wrote: My movies are not in separate folders,That is the problem. You need movie folders for Extras (wiki) to work. RE: Movies remove themselves from movie sets - appropriate - 2020-12-22 Last night I moved half a dozen movies that belonged to a set to a holding folder outside of the Samba path. I then ran Clean database. This morning I moved those six movies back to where they belonged in the Samba path. I then disabled Watchdog and enabled Update on Startup and rebooted. I let the Update run its course and did not find any movies that had been removed from their sets, but those six movies did not scan. I restarted Watchdog and those movies did not scan. I went to Videos/Files and the part where those movies resided and asked the context menu to scan for new content. Still no joy. I then went to several of those movies and from the context menu asked it to Scan to Library. It returned the message 'No Information Found'. I then reset the source for that part and tried Scan to Library again. No joy. I then played the first half hour of one of those movies from Videos/Files and paused it and quit the movie and tried Scan to Library again. Still 'No Information Found'. So, I now have six movies that exist on my system but won't scan to the library, and my attempt to force some movies to abandon their Movie Set failed. I am at a loss as to how to get those six movies to scan again. Both the current log file, and the old log files are too big to paste, so I have shut LibreElec down and copied those log files to my desktop and then uploaded them to the file drop. Here are their URL's Kodi.log.zip is at: https://ufile.io/pf1tfsh1 Kodi.old.log.zip is at:: https://ufile.io/k9atyr23 I hope these have some information that is usable.
