MySQL database didn't upgrade with V19 - anyway to force it? - weedenbc - 2021-02-28 Running kodi on two Nvidia shields using a synced MySQL library running on my Synology server. One of my Nvidia boxes auto-installed v19 last night and came up with empty library. Wife and kids were using it, so they may have restarted it. Today I checked and the other box had upgraded to v19 and it too was showing blank library. So that either means they didn't do the autoconversion or it got screwed up. Any way to check or fit it? Checking the log files on both Kodi clients would be one way to start the investigation. It's also possible that he database upgrade failed due to insufficient database user privileges. Which MySQL server version is running on your Syno NAS ? So it turns out the database got corrupted. It got hung up after the first box got rebooted and then when the second box upgraded it borked it. I deleted the database and restarted from scratch using this guide. RE: MySQL database didn't upgrade with V19 - anyway to force it? - Klojum - 2021-03-01 Well, it doesn't happen very often but even databases can have their bad moments, and so regular (sqldump) backups as well as video exports are recommended. Nfo files make rescraping so much faster. But, a new clean database also has its perks. RE: MySQL database didn't upgrade with V19 - anyway to force it? - matthuisman - 2021-03-01 i had same issue with a docker sql db. kodi 19 db migrate would fail what fixed for me was doing a mysql_upgrade and then dropping the "bad" MyVideos119 and MyMusic82 . then allow kodi 19 to migrate again. looks like thats same solution as lots of others: https://www.reddit.com/r/kodi/comments/ltfhfk/database_gone/ |
