Playcount tag in NFO's not working? - fourthreetwo - 2021-06-09
Hey all, i run an old version of XBMX (Gotham) on some ATV2's and about a year ago the scraper stopped working and since then i've been using NFO files which has worked great. I've been using the <playcount>0</playcount> tag to mark movies as unseen but for some reason this does not seem to work anymore as the blue little dot never shows up.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Can you post your entire nfo file to Kodi Paste Site and provide the link.
I can't even remember what a log looks like for Gotham, but it might show something if you capture scanning one of these nfo's (but I highly doubt it)
Otherwise zip up your database, pm me the link for download and tell me which movies should have a playcount but don't.
Maybe time for some new hardware? The broken scrapers for those unsupported versions is expected.

My problem is that newly added movies are not showing up as unplayed even though i'm using the <playcount>0</playcount> tag. My NFO's are EXTREMELY basic but i don't really need much more, it would however be nice to see the blue dot again to keep track of what i have not seen.

At this stage, I think the nfo file is fine.
One last check is your database, so I can see what the scanner has written into it regarding playcount. PM that to me and I will check. Tell me which movies are in your library that should have a playcount, but shows as unplayed in Kodi. I hope you have some way of accessing that on your hardware.
