How to stream Live TV on Kodi? - rosede - 2021-08-13
My current setup is an HDHomeRun Prime with a cable card and I use NextPVR as my PVR solution and RPi3's and RPi4's on the TV's. I also have movie, TV shows and music on my NAS that I share out to the Pi's. I have that synced with MySQL on the backed.
Recently, my cable provider encrypted all (DRM) channels, except for over the air, and NPVR can't decrypt them. I would like to switch to something like YouTube TV, or Hulu, or similar, but I don't see a plugin for Kodi.
I can switch, but I'd need a Roku or similar to access the stream. Are there any other options? I'd prefer to keep my Kodi and the way everything is setup. I like how I have everything setup in one nice neat little package and accessible. I'm not to excited about having two separate devices, one for my locale environment and one for Live TV. Is there anyway a person can get Hulu, or Sling or YouTube TV on Kodi?
