Kodi Matrix Not Picking Up TV Episode Local Thumbs - hdmkv - 2021-08-26
Discovered this issue when I started fresh with Kodi 19 and scraped my NAS for movies and TV shows. The local nfo's get picked up fine, but TV show episode thumbs do not. I've tried both .tbn and .jpg and neither get picked up. Hope this issue can be resolved. Thank you devs in advance.
If it's relevant, I'm using nVdia Shield TV Pro and have my NAS shares mounted. Above is not an issue with Kodi 18.

Kodi does not use the tbn extension.
Change it to .jpg
Then Refresh the show so artwork is picked up.

.tbn was working with Kodi 18 and prior. By refreshing, do you mean removing from library, updating library? I tried that, but thumbs in .jpg still didn't get picked up.

What do you see when you change back to default Estuary?
Using jpg file type, can you delete the show from the library. Make a minor change to the tv show folder name. Maybe append the year. It is just so Kodi sees this as a new folder/tv show, not one it has scraped/scanned before.
Scan into your library and capture this in a Debug Log. In case it still does not work, something might appear in the log.

Should've clarified. I did a fresh install of 19.1. Same problem in default Estuary as well. Let me try the folder change & new scan/scrape, then report back w/a debug log if needed. Thanks.

Just updating to mention this issue is resolved, after doing a fresh install. Looks like w/Kodi 19+, .tbn for episode thumbnail images no longer work. Must be S01E01-thumb.jpg
