Channel Assignments are Incorrect - Jon Wells - 2021-09-06
I had to do a complete uninstall Kodi and then re-install it. I added the NextPVR client and can view channels, but the channel numbers that are assigned bu Kodi don't align with the correct channel. For instance, MSNBC should be channel 356, but occupying that number is a shopping show. How do I get the channel numbers to align as they should?

This should be a FAQ. Kodi has an undesirable (at least for NextPVR users I guess) to default to not "Use channel numbers from backend" and to make it more complicated this setting in Setting->PVR General is considered an Advanced setting so you have to up the settings level.
