Equivalent of movie set for TV shows? - leng - 2021-12-06

I have several TV shows related to the Lonesome Dove storyline.  Is there any way of associating them with one another (like a Movie Set associates e.g James Bond films) without going to the extreme of creating a  Cinematic Universe for them.  My first thought was to have them as seasons in a single TV Show but then I can't see how I could get them scraped properly.

I imagine I'm on a loser here but if you don't ask you don't get ...

This is the easiest way, and I have done that for a few tv shows, like Battlestar Galactica (1978) and Galactica 1980, Heroes and Heroes reborn, and a few others especially as continuations are becoming more common with older shows.

Follow this method... https://kodi.wiki/view/Convert_movie_to_episode#Combine_TV_Shows

Thank you.  I did look in the wiki but I missed this article.  I'll be more careful with my searching in future.

I struggled with coming up with a good name for the page combined with users not knowing what to search for or how to phrase the search makes it a difficult page to find.

@Karellen
I too did not find this topic even though I searched for it. I suggest to rename it to something containing "set" and "series (or tvshows)". E.g "TV shows set" -- a clean parallel to "Movie set".

UPDATE:
Even though this method works, its is just a quick and dirty fix. If movie sets bundle movies, and links connect movie to tv shows, then we need tv shows-sets to bundle connected tv shows, and tv shows-links to bundle related (but not in a linear timeline) tv shows.

UPDATE 2:
I suggest to move this thread to "Tips, tricks, and step by step guides".

I'll add a couple of redirects.

I can't see how it would work.
Firstly, there is no such thing as a TV Show set, which means that it does not exist at TMDB, TVDB and TV Maze, so you can't scrape it. So more user input required.
Secondly, how would it work in Kodi? Click on a tv show and get more tv shows? Then what? How do you order the tv shows and, more importantly how do you order the episodes between the shows?
It seems extremely complicated for little benefit.
