Firewire video output - tazz0710 - 2008-09-05

Hell all i have been following this for a long time i love the progress.

I have a question my TV only does 1080p through the firewire ( a feature i was not aware of at purchase as i was mislead damn you salesman) any way is there a way with XBMC for windows to output the video through firewire so that i can use 1080p? I have no clue on this i only know that they had a external harddrive looking box hooked up to these TVs to show 1080p.

Thanks in advance

firewire? are you sure? i have never heard of this before. is it possible you're confusing firewire with another term?

sounds like the salesman dicked you man, if a TV can handle 1080p then it shouldnt matter how the source material is connected

even easier... whats the make/model of the tv? we can then look up the specs and see what the go is

no it isnt HDMI - tazz0710 - 2008-09-06

I know that fire wire is the only way to get 1080p on this TV it is a Mitsubishi.

Do a quick Google search with fire wire 1080p and Mitsubishi and you will see allot of people bitching about it. I am mad about it but no use in getting to frustrated lol.

Just wondering if i can output video through fire wire on XBMC windows.

Can you provide the exact model and maybe a link to the specifications? Huh

Re: Tv only excepts 1080p via firewire
when i first started selling mitsu they had just come out with their fire wire interconnects. the option of a seperate media distribution peice was the only way to integrate other audio and video signals to firewire. se if mitsu stills sells this peice. i no longer rep them so i don't know if its still available

I guess youre out of luck. Sell the thing.

Looked around and it didn't look good. My best advice is go to AVSforums.com and go through the thread about your TV. They get SOOOO long like over 100 pages long. So just start reading and searching.
