Kodi Tvheadend HTSP Client Search not behaving as expected - fvisagie - 2022-04-03 Hi, 1. Search results include the Other / Unknown genre even when it was excluded from the search configuration. In the example only the Movie / Drama genre was selected and Include unknown genres was deselected, but the Other / Unknown genre still appears in Search results. On Kodi 18.2 this Search configuration returns only the Movie / Drama genre. 2. In the results list the Search... text is counted as item 1 / nnn of the results (with the actual frst result being counted as 2 / nnn). Any way that the user can resolve these by themselves, especially the Other / Unknown genre cluttering up the Search results? Thanks! Versions: Raspberry Pi 3B with RPiOS Bullseye Kodi 19.4 Tvheadend 4.3-1994~gc7b713edb Tvheadend HTSP Client/kodi-pvr-hts 19.0.6-2~bullseye RE: Kodi Tvheadend HTSP Client Search not behaving as expected - fvisagie - 2022-04-04 3. Search by channel also does not work. If a specific Channel e.g. Film4 is selected, Search reports no results found. If Channel is set to All TV channels as in the Search dialog above, results for that channel (Film4 in this example) do appear. Should I report these to some issue tracker? RE: Kodi Tvheadend HTSP Client Search not behaving as expected - ksooo - 2022-04-09 1. Confirmed. 2. Not a bug. Works as designed. The numbers is the item count of the list, not the number of search results. Works always like this in Kodi. 3. Cannot reproduce. RE: Kodi Tvheadend HTSP Client Search not behaving as expected - fvisagie - 2022-04-10 Thanks for the feedback. (2022-04-09, 23:50)ksooo Wrote: 3. Cannot reproduce. Strange, I am getting this with 16 of the 23 available TV channels. I can see nothing special that those 16 have in common. They cover all 3 available muxes, etc. There is also at least one case where the channel listed in the results is not the one searched for. In some more detail - Here is a search covering all channels: Here is its result - note the presence of Channel 4 HD: Here is the same search, with the only change being Channel now set to Channel 4 HD: Here is its result: Here is another similar search, with the only changes being Group now set to TV channels and Channel to Film4: Here is its result, with Channel 5 appearing instead of Film4: To rule out the possibility of me not configuring the search correctly, what's the proper way to search for all content from a specific channel between the given dates - specifically what should Start time and End time be set to? Feel free to direct me to documentation if available (I haven't found any so far). Thanks. Those dates are defining the time frame for searching; only programmes which are partly or fully aired within this time span will be returned as search hits. Glad to know I got that bit right then, thanks. It finds everything between start date at start time and end date at end time. Start and end time are always evaluated together with the dates. There us no start time to and time at any date functionality. RE: Kodi Tvheadend HTSP Client Search not behaving as expected - _BJ1 - 2022-05-31 None of my three clients in my household (LibreElec Nexus, CoreElec Nexus, Ubuntu Matrix) accept the time frame settings, so the full list is displayed as shown above. Maybe a problem with TVHeadend? I use a dedicated Server on Ubuntu Build: 4.3-1979~g8fc2dfa (2021-09-07T17:15:30+0000). Are you saying no matter what start date you set it will be ignored and events starting before that date are displayed? Again, date and time build a combination. The time is always related to the date. No way to formulate a search for “no matter what date, show all events between 15:00 and 17:00”, for example. RE: Kodi Tvheadend HTSP Client Search not behaving as expected - _BJ1 - 2022-05-31 You mean when I set a start date e.g. of today (2022-05-31) and 2022-06-08 and a start time of 20:00 and end time 22:00 the search will list all events between 22-05-31 20:00 to 22-06-08 22:00 and not within a date frame within 05-31 -- 06-08 between 20:00 - 22:00? Freaky. What I've expected was only a list of events between 20:00 to 22:00 within the date frame (every day) listed. Freaky. Your expectation is wrong. It’s like you wrote in the first paragraph. RE: Kodi Tvheadend HTSP Client Search not behaving as expected - _BJ1 - 2022-05-31 Ok. Thanks for clearing this. |
