how to have subtitles always on, except for PVR/live TV - grb5521 - 2022-04-28
What is the trick to having subtitles always enabled, except for PVR/live TV? I've tried everything and I can't make it behave correctly.
With [Player->Language->Preferred Subtitle language = None], I get no subtitles, which is fine for channels via TVheadend, but after enabling subtitles when playing a video and setting "set as default for all media", the toggle doesn't save, so I have to enable it every time (that can't be the expected behaviour - is that a bug?)
The alternative, setting [Player->Language->Preferred Subtitle language = English/UI language] defaults all subtitles to on, which is great but then I have to disable them every time while watching PVR/live TVheadend.
Kodi 19.3 on Android TV in case it makes any difference (but I suspect it doesn't).
