Kodi 19.4 Firestick 4k MAX resolution it's always at 4K output - arocs - 2022-06-03

Hi ..
Is it possible to configure Kodi 19.4 ( Amazon firestick 4K MAX) to have the correct video resolution when playing video?.
Now all the content that i have played it's always at 4K resolution output, how can it be adapted to the correct output resolution?
I mean if the video it's 720p the output should be at 720 and to 4k adapted ...

Best regards..
Thanks..

I noticed this too. And the 'adjust refresh rate' option does not appear to do anything. The 4k Max really loves its 59.94hz on Kodi. But mind you, from 720p to 2160 is simply using 9 pixels for every original pixel. And from 1080p to 2160 it will use 4. There will be ZERO degradation in picture quality and it's a cheap operation. It can even be argued that having the hardware multiply pixels is a more elegant solution than changing the resolution. As long as hardware rendering is on, I can't think of a scenario where it's a bad thing.
