Subtitles disable automatically soon after the video start. - erushian - 2022-07-16
I used the Plex server with Synology.
With Shield TV, subtitles are automatically disabled as soon as the movie starts.
So I always turn on subtitles.
It is very troublesome.
The same behavior appears on Android tablets.
But it works well on the Plex Webpage.
I don't know what the problem is.
Please help me.

Hello @erushian,
Have you set up subtitles language in Kodi?
Go to Settings>Player>Language>Preferred subtitles language.
In addition, you can got to subtitles settings while video is playing (same place you go to enable subtitles when movie starts), enable subtitles as usual but this time also choose "Set as default for all media".

The important thing about this problem is that the subtitle is deactivated about three seconds after it comes out.
If you activate the subtitles after the subtitles disappear, the subtitles work well.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.
If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)
In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.
Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
