Videos loose smoothness from v18 to v19 - VP_Chestnut - 2022-08-19 Hello, I'm experiencing an issue of video smoothness since upgrading Kodi from v18 to v19. I'm using Kodi with LibreElec installed on a Pi4 for the v19, Pi3 for the v18. My videos are stored on a NAS. All my videos are mkv files, 1080x1440 pixels, 25 fps, MBAFF interlaced (recorded from French TV - by the way English is a second language for me). On both versions, in Settings/Player/Videos/Playback, I have : - Adjust display refresh rate : start/stop - Sync playback to display In v18 I have also Rendering: - Material acceleration : OMXPlayer + MMAL No such option in v19. The In-playback video settings : - Deinterlace method => auto in v18, deinterlace in v19. In v19 I have also Video scaling method => closest. Videos are smooth in v18, jerky in v19 (so I must stick to v18). Lots of ffmpeg errors at the end of the v19 log (when watching a video) : https://paste.kodi.tv/ugipekajud.kodi (I haven't these errors in the v18 log). Thank you for reading me, if you have any ideas to sort this out... RE: Videos loose smoothness from v18 to v19 - VP_Chestnut - 2022-08-20 I wonder if it's a problem of hardware acceleration. The CPU usage during a video play is about 300% with v19/Pi4 (4 CPUs), only 20% in v18/Pi3 (4 CPUs too). Is there a way to enable hardware acceleration in Kodi 19 on a Pi4 ? |
