Kodi v20 Nightly ARM64 partially working on Apple Silicon - edkis - 2022-10-04

I try Kodi v20 Nightly: https://forum.kodi.tv/newthread.php?fid=56 on my MacBook Pro 16 M1 with macOS Monterey but after opening Kodi goes to black screen with some visible white text.

I went through the memory using the keyboard to the Settings/System/Display and I confirmed the setting Blank other displays.

After this Kodi appeared normally and is fully working only to next start when you have to do it repeatedly.

Is there any better working solution ?

No.

In windowed mode its more reliable currently. I would avoid using in Fullscreen at this stage.

Now that v20 is at RC2, will there be an ARM64 version released?

No. It's still very much an experimental platform, and is not considered as a supported platform. Therefore no formal releases will be done.

Oh no! I was really looking forward to a released version for ARM64 rather than constantly downloading nightlies. Hopefully this will change soon.
