Pause without GUI - RobinTW - 2023-01-10 Is there a way to pause video without showing GUI? Or close GUI when video paused? RE: Pause without GUI - jjd-uk - 2023-01-10 This is for the skin to decide and you don't mention what skin you use. RE: Pause without GUI - jjd-uk - 2023-01-10 Staying with V18.9 means you're missing out on a significant change to Estuary in v19, as in v19 when you pause the only a slim GUI shown is at top and this GUI will automatically disappear after 5 seconds. V19 does not support hardware acceleration on my RPi 3B+ and can not play H265 videos smoothly. The RPi3B+ has no onboard h265 decoder, so no Kodi version for it has hw acceleration support. Everything needs to be done via a combination of generic GPU tools and a couple of software tricks, which only goes so far. It can process most 720p HEVC videos, as well as mediocre bitrate 1080p HEVC video files. But that's it. RPi4 availability should be better this year. Kodi 19 for the RPi3 is broken, because in LibreELEC new video driver techniques have been chosen/implemented for a better overall support of various hardware/chipsets. Programming for new hardware should be easier, the RP3B+ is simply EOL in that regard. RPi4 is resold for 3x the list price which I don't wanna pay for. And yes, RPi3 and 4 prices have gone up because of overall chip availability problems. With the market dynamics of supply and demand, sellers with the RPI in stock can ask whatever they want. There are other cheap (Android) AMLogic/Rockchip boxes that you could see as a replacement. |
