video calibration / subtitleverticalmargin not working on themes on Kodi 20 - Skyrider - 2023-01-19

So ever since Kodi 20 was released, I noticed that the subtitle height was increased. Regardless of what option I use (bottom of screen/video) and with manual I couldn't alter the video calibration of the screen nor the subtitles. I've spend hours attempting to figure out why I couldn't change it, nor why subtitleverticalmargin wouldn't work. And in the end... apparently if you use a third party skin (I've tried 2 thus far), you are unable to alter the video calibration unless you are using the default kodi skin.

Is this a bug? Or do the themes need an update?

if "only" 3rd party skins are affected, they probably need some updating/fixing, like any other add-on when Kodi moves up another major version (in this case 19 -> 20). Bigger and smaller changes can occur. And typically, skin add-ons are the last ones to adapt to newer versions as they understandably don't want to go through changes 2-3-4+ times during the Alpha/Beta/RC cycles of a new Kodi version.

Looks like you've found a problem that will affect every skin except Estuary/Estouchy in v20 due to this PR - https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/0eb5294a30462f023dcf1b8b9a757aab9d347d43
